Two years ago, many people encouraged me to change parties and run for State Senate as a Democrat. I chose to remain a Republican, I have never had a moment's regret.

I am a Republican.

I have been a Republican all my life.

I am a veteran of the U.S. Army and fervently support a strong national defense.

I am a staunch economic conservative.

I cherish the Declaration of Independence and the Bill of Rights and the U.S. Constitution and their protection of every individual's freedoms of speech and religion.

I am a Life Member of the NRA and a strong supporter of the Second Amendment. I was
captain of the pistol team during my active duty service in the U.S. Army

I oppose big government intrusion into the private lives of citizens, whether those intrusions come from the far left or the far right.

I believe that the way to improve the general welfare and prosperity is to expand the economic pie by encouraging new business, supporting growing businesses, and carefully restraining public intervention in the private marketplace.

I am a Republican -- proudly, enthusiastically, and forever.
